Recently refurbished to a very high standard, Fonab Castle offers brasserie-style eating and fine dining tasting menus in five star surroundings.

 

Auld Smiddy Inn

As its name suggests, this was formerly a blacksmith's forge but now boasts a beatiful contemporary interior.  Open from midday, the Auld Smiddy offers delicious pub food and has a full bar licence.

Put on your boots and take a hike through the magnificent Highland Perthshire scenery.  There is a network of paths around Pitlochry, totalling approximately 40 miles and these are suitable for varyious levels of age and ability.  Climb Ben y Vrackie for the stunning views and, at 2757ft, it is a Corbett, rather than a Munro.
