Attractions around Pitlochry
Castles with turrets and towers, distilleries, woodland gardens, outdoor activity centres, quirky independent shops, cafes and restaurants – we have it all in the area round Rosehill Guest House.
Distilleries
Edradour
Scotland’s smallest distillery, located approximately 2 miles from the town. Take a guided tour, sample a dram and enjoy the wide range of whiskies in the shop.
Bells Distillery
Right on the edge of Pitlochry, and only a few minutes’ walk from Rosehill, the Bell’s distillery is housed in attractive, creeper-covered buildings and also offers tours and a dram. If you are here at the right time of year, you might even catch Santa’s sleigh and his team of reindeer!
Blair Castle
For the past 700 years, Blair Castle has been the home of the Dukes of Atholl. This white fairy-tale castle with its battlements & turrets, newly restored Hercules Garden and Diana’s Grove full of specimen trees makes for a fun-packd day out for all the family. The Duke even has his own private army, on parade each year at the Atholl Gathering.
House of Bruar
Known locally as the Harrods of the North, treat yourself to a spot of retail therapy at this Highland emporium. Country clothes and accessories for ladies, gents and children, kitchen and homeware, an art gallery, excellent food & deli shopping and a great restaurant all make for a satisfying visit.
